I've just gotten around to downloading pictures from our camera onto my computer. 361 photos over 72 days of summer, spanning from an early June barbecue at Crissy Field to this afternoon's farewell get-together for friend and fellow wine blogger, Paul Cortwright, and tromping through a visit from A's mom & sis (including their Yosemite excursion), various summer pies, a hike & dinner with Kevin, Maris & the twins, my company's summer party, and up to Jeff's wedding yesterday.
If that seems an excessively tedious list of events for the anonymous reader, understand that it is a preamble to another event in our lives: an imminent move to Spain.
As you might imagine, the news of our departure has spurred an even more intense social calendar than the one listed before the jump. I offer that up as explanation (not excuse!) for my relative lack of posts, which I'm trying to make up this week...
But, yes...Spain! Amberly & I are gearing up for tapas, a vastly rearranged bedtime schedule, and Sevillana lessons that will come with our move to Seville in less than three months. In the interim, there will be packing, moving, and a month-long roadtrip across country to visit long-neglected friends. This blog will remain active, as will companion blogs for topics that might diverge from the topic of wine more than they overlap. Stay tuned for those.
Meanwhile, keep an eye on this space for some restaurant visits, wine thoughts, and perhaps another primer or two before we go.
(For those interested, I'll post a best-of selection of the aforementioned photos when I have had time to sort through them a bit.)
